Limited Edition Elasticizer by Philip Kingsley This hair product originated and was formulated for Audrey Hepburn. In 1975 she turned to Philip Kingsley to save her over worked hair. “Ms. Hepburn was making a film at the time and wasn’t happy about the way her hair behaved,” Kingsley said. “She told me, ‘I don’t like the conditioners they use because they make my hair look flat, and I want it to look fuller with more body.’” -Style.com. In 1980 he named the product the Elasticizer, because it does just that -but it didn’t become available to the public until 1982 at Saks Fifth Avenue. Healthy hair can stretch a lot more than damaged hair can without breaking. The Elasticizer delivers moisture to the hair’s cuticle leaving hair with instant bounce, elasticity and softness. Results improve with continued use, recommended at least once a week for best results. It is a Pre-Shampoo treatment, I’m used to seeing conditioning treatments so I found this product pretty fascinating. To use you dampen your hair and before shampooing apply the product and leave on for twenty minutes with hair cap/towel. It can also be used as an over night treatment for severely dry or damaged hair. For hair in need of hydration, bounce, elasticity, replenishment, shine, strengthening and volumizing this pre-shampoo hair treatment sounds like a miracle working secret weapon. The limited edition version retails at about $75 (comes as a kit with pink tube, white box and cotton towel) and the regular version retails for $45 with the formula in a white jar. It is said that Georgia Jagger, model and daughter of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger, can’t live without it. I am a huge fan of Audrey and Georgia so I’m all for the hype behind this multi award winning product. Highlighted Ingredients:Olea Europea (Olive) Oil: High in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, this locks in moisture for bounce and shine.Hydrolysed Elastin: Strengthens and adds elasticity to hair. Prevents breakage and vital for dry, damaged hair.

SUN PHOTO DAMAGE & AGEING Truck Driver’s Bill McElligott, 69, face shows severe sun damage after 28 years on the job. UV rays transmitted through his truck windows left the exposed side of his face looking nearly 20 years older than the right side of his face. Dramatic and perfect example of why it is important to protect your skin from sun damage and photo ageing all year round, not just on occasion or seasonally. It is a lot easier to prevent ageing than it is to reverse it. This photo definitely makes me want to find where/how to get UV protected car windows.Jennifer Gordon, dermatologist who treated McElligott:All of the damage to the wrinkled, bumpy left side “is environmental,” Gordon told the Toronto Star. “That’s what the sun can do. It’s nothing new, but it’s a good reminder for people.

- “I’d never seen sun damage that one-sided.” - “Sideways, he looks like two different people.”

Yay order came today! CAKE BEAUTY 90-95% natural ingredients + a Canadian based company. The BEST dry shampoo I have ever used, especially the powder. It comes in light or dark and translucent. I really don’t know what I was doing with my life before using the Satin Sugar Dry Shampoo. It smells really good and instantly makes my hair look fresh and volumized and it lasts a really long time. My hair usually looks greasy already almost right after I wash it so I’ve always been into the dry shampoos, but compared to Satin Sugar none of the others even work. The Heavy Cream hand cream is great it feels like velvet and absorbs quickly. My mom, who has super sensitive dry hands loved it and said it made her flaky dry patches disappear !  + Desserted Island brown sugar scrub (perfect for summer exfoliating or self tanner users) and body mousse (smells so good and long lasting. When I wear it out people are always wondering what smells so good in the room!) You can get Cake beauty products in Sephora stores, they used to sell it on the website too but not any more and sometimes even at Winners. Or you can order online off the Cake Beauty website or ebeauty.ca Also Livpurely hand made virgin coconut oil soap!!
